We are on the way home now. The ferry ride to Vancouver this morning was very nice as it was sunny and calm. There were quite a number of passengers aboard going to the football game this afternoon. It was easy to get to the MEC store in North Vancouver. It’s not very big, smaller than the store in Edmonton, but had a good selection of items. From there we drove over the coquihalla to Kamloops. We got here much earlier than we thought since it was so easy to get through Vancouver this morning.

Is this your first hotel??? Oh my goodness you are both great campers! I would not have lasted a day in the rain. Camping all summer…wow.
Well no, but its only about the fifth, and most of those were when we were waiting for or getting off ferries. We’re almost home now, and are visiting with Graeme.
Well, I commend you both, but particularly Enid, for camping all summer…she is a real trooper! I remember the family canoe trips on the Churchill River…I am no longer a wilderness camper type…getting too soft I guess.
Have a good visit with Graeme. Glad you are making it home safely.
Well, you’ve had quite a summer …. soggy much of the time! I’ve been following all your travels and congratulate you both on your tenacity. We went the other way from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert – a lovely passage along the coastline. Have a wonderful return home – you’re probably there now – and cherish the photos and memories of a wonderful and adventurous summer!
